Diemme is inspired by the heritage of hiking and work boots that have been made for centuries in our home region in Italy’s spectacular Dolomite mountains. Diemme designs evolve those traditions, using the finest materials and techniques to make premium boots and contemporary leisure footwear.

We make all Diemme products under one roof at our family factory in Onè di Fonte, Veneto, a small town in north-eastern Italy. For centuries, this region has been regarded as the spiritual home of handmade outdoor footwear. Every Diemme pair is hand-crafted by expert workers producing limited production runs of high-quality artisan products. Diemme is sold by some of the world’s most esteemed retailers.

  • The Maggiore is our take on a mule, built the way we build our boots. It borrows from two places at once: the clog, and the wool slippers worn in the Dolomites, the ones with an alpine flower on the side. It is a shoe you step into without thinking, to go out into the yard and see to something. The upper is updated for Donna, with a double top stitch seam, a grained leather in black, vegetable-tanned so it darkens with wear. It is lined in lamb shearling for warmth and stitched to the outsole using the ideal stitch technique: no applied welt, just the stitch, so the sole can be replaced rather than rebuilt. The Stella Alpina pin symbolizes the Alpine mountain flower, commonly used across footwear from the Dolomites. Handcrafted in Italy.
