Diemme is inspired by the heritage of hiking boots that have been made for centuries in our home region in Italy’s spectacular Dolomite mountains. Diemme designs evolve those traditions, using the finest materials and techniques to make hiking boots and sneakers that go the distance in mountain terrains or pounding city sidewalks.
We make all Diemme products under one roof at our family factory in Onè di Fonte, Veneto, a small town in north-eastern Italy. For centuries, this region has been regarded as the spiritual home of handmade outdoor footwear. Every Diemme pair is hand-crafted by expert workers producing limited production runs of high-quality artisan products. Diemme is sold by of some of the world’s most esteemed retailers.
Rooted in everyday movement, the Bardolino is a low-top sneaker that blends a relaxed, sporty profile with refined materials and understated technical details. Designed for everyday use, it offers a softer, more flexible feel while maintaining structure and durability where it matters. The upper is made from Italy’s finest suede leather, selected for its velvety, slightly oily touch and deep, saturated color. Naturally water resistant, the suede performs well in rough weather conditions without losing its elevated appearance. Italian nappa leather is incorporated for added softness and contrast, finished with an aniline treatment that enhances uniformity while preserving the leather’s natural qualities.
Sport-inspired elements define the construction, including a mesh tongue for breathability and a Cordura detail on the heel that adds durability. The absence of hardware contributes to a lighter, more relaxed feel overall, keeping the design clean and balanced with proportions and materials doing most of the work. Bardolino is built on the Vibram Roots 826K outsole, developed with comfort as a primary focus. The XS Trek compound delivers dependable traction and durability, while the midsole is engineered to provide increased shock absorption and balanced energy return for extended wear.
