Diemme is inspired by the heritage of hiking boots that have been made for centuries in our home region in Italy’s spectacular Dolomite mountains. Diemme designs evolve those traditions, using the finest materials and techniques to make hiking boots and sneakers that go the distance in mountain terrains or pounding city sidewalks.

We make all Diemme products under one roof at our family factory in Onè di Fonte, Veneto, a small town in north-eastern Italy. For centuries, this region has been regarded as the spiritual home of handmade outdoor footwear. Every Diemme pair is hand-crafted by expert workers producing limited production runs of high-quality artisan products. Diemme is sold by of some of the world’s most esteemed retailers.

  • Rooted in everyday movement, the Licata is a sneaker designed to balance comfort, ease, and a sporty attitude. Drawing inspiration from late 1990s and early 2000s athletic footwear, the silhouette is reinterpreted through a premium, Made in Italy lens, combining performance references with a refined, contemporary sensibility. The upper is crafted from Italian crackled patent leather, chosen for its distinctive texture and visual depth. A soft Italian nappa leather rand wraps the shoe, adding contrast and tactility while reinforcing the structure. Together, these materials elevate a silhouette grounded in utility and motion.


    Elastic lacing with a cord stopper allows for quick entry and exit, emphasizing the sneaker-like construction and effortless wearability. The overall design remains clean and balanced, with proportions and material choices defining the character of the shoe. A 3M reflective piping runs along the top edge of the leather rand, wrapping around the shoe and introducing a subtle technical detail that becomes visible in motion and low-light conditions.


    Licata is built on the Vibram Roots outsole, developed with comfort as a primary focus. The low-profile sole keeps the shoe lightweight and flexible, delivering stability and support for extended wear without added bulk.
